Making a trading card - a task that took perseverance

Today I made a trading card.  And I apologize for the bad screen capture, but there is a story involved.  The link to create your own trading card is here if you want to give it a try.
Making this trading card took me three hours.  It was so frustrating having to follow the character limit with the task at hand.  I would have to go back and keep re-wording my work so it made sense.  Finally, when I finished the card, I told the site to email it to me.  It never did.  Luckily, I took this screen shot so everyone could at least see it!  I think I need to keep playing with this website to find out all the tricks.
Please let me know if you have ever used this site before, or if you have a better site to make cards like these.
Thanks for following my learning journey,
Klaasje

  1. I admire your tenacity to make this work. I'll certainly remember your experience before I suggest a web 2.0 resource to students in the future. Even if it appears simple and easy to use, there can be challenges inherent in the design of the software that makes it difficult for our students. Making sure that everyone can access, use and create with some ease is an important consideration when suggesting or applying technology to teaching. Thanks for taking the time to produce something, but learning so much more from this experience!
